Who We Are

AKUSUKAKOPI or now known as ASK COFFEE ROASTERY is a homegrown coffee roaster based in Shah Alam, Selangor.

Founded by Najmuddin in 2018, Akusukakopi started as a pop up coffee concept in his hometown, Parit Raja, while he was still an English teacher by the day. After a while, ASK moved to Jonker Walk, Melaka where they operated in a two storey 3000 sq ft building which consisted of AirBnb and a cafe downstairs. When covid struck, ASK moved to Shah Alam and started refocusing themselves as a small batch roaster that aims to showcase a variety of coffee beans from all around the world.

In 2020, we found home in a cozy space within a corporate office building in Seksyen 13 and started building our name from there. We eventually outgrew the place and moved to a bigger space in 2022, where we began roasting on our 15kg roasting machine.

Our Beans

We are always working with the best coffee beans supplier that is available here in Malaysia. We know that each coffee farm is unique and produces different tasting coffees, hence we know that we have to focus on bringing out the best attributes of each coffee so that our customers will be able to appreciate it better.

We strive to provide the best experience to all coffee crafters and consumers nationwide. Our objective, since day 1, has remained the same—to exhibit the many different coffee beans throughout all regions.

Cafe & Roastery

Our unique setup, a roastery and a cafe, is the combination of the best of both worlds, where you can see our head roaster, Arif, working his magic together with his assistant roaster, Kasyfil. Both of them are the ones who are responsible for roasting those delicious beans for you coffee lovers out there.

If you come to our cafe, be sure to be amazed with the numerous selections of house blends and single origin coffee beans. You can also try our filter coffees and our beans selections from our two Fiorenzato 83E grinders. Feel free to ask our knowledgeable baristas anything about coffee, they are more than happy to help answer all your questions.

Training & Consultation

Coffee is a never ending endeavor. There will always be something new to learn about coffee. With our experience in the coffee industry, we believe we can help you to start your own venture into the coffee world. We are able to provide consultation services, from choosing the suitable machine, interior design, business operation management up until you are able to run your business smoothly.

We love to share what we know about coffee with those who love it as much as we do. Regardless of your skill levels, everyone is welcome to approach us for barista training, sensory workshops, cupping sessions and more, all tailored to your needs.
